What is Morse Code?

Morse code is a method of transmitting text information as a series of on-off tones, lights, or clicks that can be directly understood by a skilled listener or observer without special equipment. It is named for Samuel F. B. Morse, an inventor of the telegraph. Each character is represented by a unique sequence of dots (short signals) and dashes (long signals).

When to Use a Morse Code Translator

A Morse code translator is useful for learning and practicing Morse code, for decoding messages received in Morse, or for encoding messages for transmission. It's a valuable tool for amateur radio operators, history enthusiasts, and anyone interested in alternative forms of communication. It can also be used for creating puzzles or secret messages.
